Main Applicant
Contribution Requirement:
- The main applicant must contribute USD250,000 or its equivalent in freely convertible foreign currency to the COVID-19 Projects Development Fund.
Spouse and Dependents
Eligibility
- The permit covers the spouse, dependent children (under 24 years old), parents, and other dependents of the main applicant.
Individuals Working for the Family Unit
Eligibility
- Individuals working exclusively for the family unit may apply to become residents and take up employment with the main applicant, subject to the approval of the Director General of Immigration.
Medical Requirements
All non-citizens must undergo a set of compulsory medical tests, including:
- Blood tests for haemoglobin, full blood count, hepatitis B, HIV, and VDRL.
- Urine tests for albumin and sugar.
- Stool test for parasites.
- Chest X-ray.
- Specific tests for leprosy (for Indian nationals) and lymphatic filariasis (for nationals from certain countries).
These tests must be conducted within six months of the application and verified by a local doctor in Mauritius.
Financial Proof and Payment
- Proof of transfer of USD 250,000 to the COVID-19 Projects Development Fund.
- Payment of permit fees:
- USD 1,000 for the main applicant.
- USD 400 for each spouse, dependent child, parent, or other dependent.
- USD 400 for each individual working for the family unit.
